Video Assist 4K resolution issue

PostFri Oct 04, 2019 12:34 pm

heloo there!

I have two BMD 4k Video Assist units with up to date firmware. When I send video from the REC OUT SDI port on C300 MII, it shows no picture, and resolution indicator shows 1080. If I send the that same signal into a Shogun Inferno, then out of Inferno into the BMD 4k Video Assist, then it recognizes the resolution as UHD and shows the picture.

The Shogun also indicates UHD and shows picture with or without the BMD hanging on the out port.

Same symptoms with different combinations of cables, cameras and shogun/BMD units.

Any ideas?

Did you try switching the sdi level out of the camera from level a to level b (or vice versa)?

I found a little information on that and will give it a shot when I get to the studio later today. Thanks very much!

What is your frame rate? The VA4K only does 6G...25/30 fps
