Fan Noise

PostSat Jan 04, 2020 8:20 pm

For those of you who've had experience with the ATEM 4M/E Switcher, the Studio Fiber Converters....is there a lot of fan noise? or are they pretty quiet?

Can they be in the actual control room without causing a disturbance?

thanks.

well, in the control room, one is probably using a headset anyways...
as long as they're not in the studio itself ;-)

All the gear together will create a lot of noise.

Best is to move the equipment to a different room. Or get a isolated Rack with a door to silence it.

fan noise is like latency. its always going to be there. Its just about how you manage it.
