ATEM Television Studio (Rack Model) USB Issue

PostWed Jan 29, 2020 11:09 am

Hi,

I've got an original ATEM Television Studio. The 1U Rack mount version.

I am having issues with getting it detected via USB on MAC OS. It seems to work just fine on Windows. but what ever mac i plug it into it does not show up.

I also have an issue whereby the lables on the Preview and Program window show as BLACK and will not change. i know this has been mentioned in another request somewhere but i've not seen an update.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Many thanks
Sam

The Black label issues are there for some time now. Revert back to Software / Firmware 7.5 which is fine for this Atem. There are no updates anymore in functions for these old Atem models.

Also your MAC OS might be too new for this old unit, or using a USB3 port might also cause trouble while a USB 2 port might just work fine. ;)

Thanks!

Will give reverting the firmware a go.

as for USB i've tried it on an old mac mini that uses usb 2.0 and a macbook with usb3 no joy on either. but on a PC its recognised instantly. who knows maybe the firmware will resolve it.
