Clean video output without SDI?

PostWed Feb 26, 2020 8:13 am

Hi,

I'm shooting with the BlackMagic micro studio camera 4K tomorrow morning and I have lost my SDI cables. I'm in the middle of nowhere in Norway, so there is no way of finding one of the SDI cables they use for the Blackmagic here (I could probably find a standard SDI, but that wouldn't get me far). So I know that I can shoot with the HDMI cable, but have I understood it right that this will just be a screen recording of my monitor? How bad would the quality be? Is there any other way of getting a clean video output without the SDI cables?

Thank you in advance,

Annelen

Hello Annelen. You can set the HDMI output to a clean feed on the Micro Studio Camera. It will be 1080p of whatever frame rate you have chosen.
