Hyperdeck Shuttle Recording Times

PostFri Aug 16, 2013 2:06 pm

Hello and apologies if this question has been asked before:

how much recording time can be expected from Hyperdeck Shuttle and 512GB SSD? (1080p 30fps)

Thanks.

From the Hyperdeck FAQ

A 128 GB SSD will allow you to capture about 12.5 minutes of uncompressed HD video while a 512 GB SSD will provide about 50 minutes of uncompressed HD video capture.
If you're only capturing SD video, then the recording time is generally 4 times longer than compared to capturing HD video.
If you are capturing in the compressed ProRes HQ or DNxHD codecs, then the recording time is generally 6 times longer than capturing uncompressed video.
