Preview and program can´t be changed in the multiview?

PostWed Aug 22, 2012 10:58 pm

Congratulations on creating this new forum :)

We have a questión:

Why preview and program can´t be changed in the multiview?
If you use the preview and program outputs in HDSDI would be interesting to assign such auxiliary outputs or any other source of Atem.
We have an outdoor broadcast van with atem 1 and control panel and we always use separate screens for program and multiview.
We miss can't change this two windows in the multiview. Isn´t possible include this feature in futures updates?

Thanks and sorry for our poor translation. :)

I don't understand what you are looking to do.

What changes do you want to be able to do in the Multiview with Preview and Program?

The aim is to assign Cleen Feed or Aux 2 or 3 output or another input.

I think they are asking why they cannot change the MV Program and Preview sources to show something different such as an Aux. Because they are using dedicated monitors for Preview and Program they could probably make good use of the MV realestate.

To the OP, we've had this request a couple times. Currently I don't know of any plans to change this, but it's a neat suggestion non-the-less.

YESSSS... that's what I meant

The Multiviews that we know, can do this. We can not understand why the Blackmagic MV can not.

Sorry for my bad explanation. I´m using google translator :P

Sorry and Thanks.

Ahh... makes sense. I often switch one of the inputs to the preview just to check out something that is more difficult to see when it's in the "small" window below.

So... YES PLEASE. I would love to see this capability added to a future release. It doesn't seem as if it would be all that hard.. but what do I know.

Thanks!!

I would really like to see this added as well! With the 2 M/E I would live the option to use the big sections on the 2nd MV for my remote camera operator to use.

Customizable multiview

PostThu Aug 23, 2012 4:25 pm

I would like this feature too. We prefer to use preview and program on separate monitors.
Either allow all aux buses in the space or select the pane input.

Also a customizable framing grid. (.png file?)

Hi,

we do receive many requests for a more versatile Multi-Viewer. Without promising any results I can tell you that we are considering the implications of all of these request.

Cheers

Darren.

Being anal... I'd like to be able to change the naming of Program Programme as it's spelt here in the UK :?

+1 to more versatile multiview!

The local fashion here is to work with PGM and PVW reversed. The ability to switch those, would be very appreciated indeed!

I think that's just cheating at Scrabble! I'm totally joking of course. It would be nice to allow those to be edited so they look right no matter the region!

+1 for better multiview flexibility!
I'd really love to be able to change the names of the Auxiliary outputs too. It gets a little confusing when you've got all 6 of them on your multi-view and you're trying to remember what's what...
Just my $0.20 worth.
