ATEM Control Simulation

PostWed Jun 24, 2020 12:16 am

Hi all,

I guess this is mostly pointed at representatives from Blackmagic, but is there a solution for "simulating" working with the Software Control panel? Our church picked up an ATEM MiniPro but since running the live stream is a Sunday morning "side job" I wish I could "test" behaviors, create macros or simply practice with the MiniPro by way of a simulation of the Control Software. Has this ever been discussed? It could just use still images to represent the video feeds, text "Cam1" on a target or color bars would be sufficient for what I'm thinking. I realize in production its the silicon on the ATEM that is doing all the work, but it seems like they could simulate all the behaviors pretty easily particularly since there is no encoding/output required, you could likely simulate the Multi-view too.

Has this ever been brought up?

Thanks!

There is an ATEM Simulator discussed in this thread, although it only runs on Mac OS at the moment:
