Connecting a sound mixer to ATEM Pro

PostWed Jul 01, 2020 2:15 pm

Hello everyone,
I have a few questions for my live stream. I work for a church and we are thinking about buying a ATEM mini pro. I want to connect my sound board mixer to the Switcher. Is there anyway to do that? The reason behind doing it that way is so that I can run the audio and video out of the switcher into boxcast equipment. Currently I have a presonus studio live 16.4.2

You can take a stereo mix from the mixer either the house mix or a separate aux (monitor) mix and go out analog and go into the ATEM through the 3.5 connector. On my Yamaha I use a aux mix so I can create a separate mix for video and have XLR to 3.5 cables.

Hi,

Is there a certain type of mixer that would be needed for compatibility, for example analog or digital or is would any mixer with two XLR outputs work?

Also, is this the type of XLR to 3.5 headphone that you would need? Thanks!

Any mixer should work. You are taking an analog output via XLR, Usually outputs are male so you would need a female XLR to 3.5 cable.

Many thanks! So whether it's an analog or digital mixer isn't important in this case?

I am also trying to connect in this way from a Behringer x32. Could you post a link to the cable you purchased? Did you not use any kind of passive transformer?
