Audio corruption / distortion on ATEM 1ME

PostTue Aug 27, 2013 3:04 pm

At the weekend I had an event using 4 cameras (3 x JVC HM600 and 1 x Sony NX5) via SDI and playback from a Hyperdeck plus a couple of computers via HDMI. When all the cameras were plugged in the audio out from the 1ME was corrupted - sounding like Darth Vader. If I unplugged any one of the cameras this fixed the issue.

Is it possible to overload the audio side of the 1ME with two many inputs?

I was only actually using the audio from the Hyperdeck and all the other channels were turned down.

Thanks,

Tim

Did you connect all incoming signal before you turned on the Atem?
Sometimes connecting hdmicables with power on can give you all sorts of problem.
Next time (if you didn't already do this) you could try to power cycle the Atem.

I don't think that you can overload the audio side with to many inputs.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I did try rebooting the ATEM a number of times with everything plugged in.
