ATEM Mini (various versions) Camera Control

PostFri Aug 14, 2020 12:43 am

I see in the ATEM Mini Manual on page 29 that it can only control the BMPCC 4K and 6K cameras. Does anyone know why BMD did not include the Ursa Mini Pro 4.6 G2 camera as well? Or the 12K?

It’s using ‘extra pins’ in HDMI cable to control Pocket cameras. URSA minis and studio cameras have remote control over SDI and not HDMI. Also Atem minis have no SDI, inputs or outputs...

Thanks Pavel.

The good news is that if I use a 6K and a G2 together into the new ISO version I can still get the recording of files. I just have to deal with the timecode issues on the BRAW camera footage.

I wonder if I could jam sync the cameras prior to feeding them into the ISO and then use that footage. I wonder how it would match up with the ISO internal recordings.
