ATEM Connecting

My ATEM won't connect to my Macbook Pro via USB. I'm able to use the software via ethernet, but want to use the Strata Lite Ap to control the ATEM via an iPhone?

AFAIK, remote control is only available via network.
USB is only used for software update/webcam streaming (only for Mini series).

Not sure what it means by software control.
It puzzles me.
But AFAIK, ATEM software can only connect to ATEM device via network.

The ATEM Mini models are controlled by software by either Ethernet or USB. To test USB run the ATEM Setup utility and make sure it connects. If you cannot connect via USB. Check the properties of the computer and verify there is a USB connection to the Blackmagic Device. If not it is probably the wrong cable. Not all cables are the same.
