Atem Mini USB C > Converter to HDMI

I have tried running three different setups:

1) Atem Mini (HDMI OUT) > AJA UTAP (hardware broadcaster) > PC and this setup works.

2) I initially tried Atem Mini > USB C port out > USB C/HDMI converter > UTAP > PC and it does not recognise any camera input and I get a colour test pattern.

3) I also tried Atem Mini > USB C to USB > PC and it does not recognise any camera input.

I would prefer the 2nd setup as I can have a viewing monitor.

Are there any USB C to USB standards I should be using?

Option #2 will not work since the Atem's USB-C output port is designed to only be recognized as a Webcam; or for storage media (pro version).
