Record ATEM Mini Pro output with new Video Assist 7" 12g

Any help greatly appreciated - new to all things BlackMagic (and loving it) and video production.

We have two BMPCC 4K into ATEM Mini Pro, plus one new Video Assist 7" 12g. I am hoping I can use the Video Assist as production preview monitor PLUS record the live ATEM Mini Pro production feed on SSD drive via USB-C.

ATEM Mini Pro is connected to Mac Mini via USB-C and Ethernet for software control and Zoom meetings (audio in from Scarlett 18/20).

Is it possible to record live ATEM output while viewing production preview on Video Assist?

Short answer no. The Video Assist only accepts a video signal for recording (same signal used for display) via HDMI or SDI. If you are only viewing the one camera on preview, then set the HDMI out to program, and record the program out. Since you only have a single video source, preview and program are the same.
