Last week I rented a Black Magic Cinema Camera because I wanted to evaluate it as a source for a locked down shot in our system using the ATEM Television Studio. The Cinema Camera documentation says to set the camera to ProRes with Overlays Off - and that will automatically set the SDI output to 1080i @ 59.94. I've got the ATEM TVS setup to accept all sources as 1080i @ 59.94, but the BMCC would not display. Unfortunately, I don't have a multisync broadcast monitor that would tell me what the BMCC was actually outputting. I took the camera back to the rental house, and they hooked the SDI output up to a monitor, and the camera produced an image - but obviously not 1080i@59.94. They couldn't tell me what it was.
Is anyone aware of a change in the firmware? Is the SDI output of the original BMCC no longer defaulting to 1080i@59.94? Is there a way to override? As it stands - it looks like there is no way to display an image from a BMCC on an ATEM switcher? Any insight appreciated.
