Suggested inexpensive analogue audio into TVS

PostMon Oct 28, 2013 11:08 pm

I thought other users might be interested in a cheap analogue audio to TVS solution I installed yesterday. It might suit people who don't have the space for the Behringer rack unit, or who are just looking for a cheap and cheerful solution.

I purchased a basic "Analogue to SPDIF Digital" audio converter from an online retailer for $49. Note that the documentation or box does not mention AES/EBU, but the standards are similar, and in my case, work just fine.

Impedance is the same (75ohm) so a converter is not required.

Here in Australia, I ordered mine from Cable Chick, but similar models are on eBay and from Jaycar.

Hope this helps someone.
