Decklink mini recorder problem

PostTue Nov 05, 2013 2:42 am

Dear all,

I updated from AV to HDMI, use mini recorder.

I have a problem in VLC or FMLE, when I use HDMI signal save a stream to a file or send a UDP stream, I get a wrong color video.

When I use a HDMI to SDI converter, and capture SDI signal, video is normal.

When I use the other Studio2 capture same HDMI, video is normal.

How can I fix the problem?

PS:

I use some HD monitor look HDMI video, is normally.

The mini recorder is the card, not box.

I'm sure someone else had this issue recently and it turned out to be their HDMI cable. It worked fine to their TV, but not to the BM card, when they replaced it with a decent cable the issue went away

That's a colorspace issue. Your HDMI is outputing an RGB signal and Blackmagic capture devices only support YUV signals. The SDI converter is doing the conversion for you.

Thanks a lot, But I am sure the HDMI signal is YUV.

I can use Decklink Studio2 card capture a normal video.
