Simultaneous Broadcast Panel and Software Control Panel?

Just wondering if anyone know if you can use the ATEM 1 M/E with the broadcast panel hardware while still allowing simulatenouse software control panel from a PC on the network. Why would someone want to do such a thing, you ask? I'd really like to give control of the Aux bus switching to another tech located in a different production booth and not burden the video tech who is mixing on the hardware broadcast panel for recording. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it would work? If so, are the settings/changes made on the broadcast panel automatically reflected on the software panel? Vice versa?

Yes, this definitely works. I believe the official number of devices that can connect to the switcher is 5 (Broadcast Panels and software panels).

It's not a crazy proposition, especially to control different functions like you mention. You might have one person controlling the Aux buses. Another software control panel might be controlling which graphics are sent to the Media Players. We do similar in our production truck.

Any changes made on any of the hardware or software controllers are instantly reflected on the other controllers connected to the switcher.

Yeh, definately works- I use it to change the Aux outs sometimes if the director is busy- just don't change pvw's etc- scares the hell out of the director!!!!!
