Hi All,
I do a lot of live production switching between laptops/cameras. I normally set everything to 1280x720 as I broadcast in 720P. One of the problems I'm facing is that apps in Windows 8 will not run at anything less than a 768 vertical resolution. I can set my laptops to 1080P, but then a lot of the text in demos are too small to be properly seen and encoding them from 1080P to 720P for broadcast just introduces more artifacts.
In Windows 8 I can set the resolution to 1366x768 (smallest 16:9 that meets the 768 minimum), but then I can't get any output to my ATEM 2/ME switcher. Is there an inexpensive scaler anyone could recommend (or a different solution) that would let me downscale the 1366x768 to a 720P resolution that the ATEM could handle?
Again, setting everything to 1080P will work - but I'd like to avoid the resizing if at all possible.
Thanks!
