More than 16 sources on ATEM2

PostSun Oct 14, 2012 6:15 am

Hi All,
I am design an O Van for a customer and i am thinking to use the ATEM 2 switcher but my problem is that i need more than 16 sources. Anyone knows if its possible to use two ATEM 2 frames with one 2ME panel and how i will route the 32 sources at one PGM out ?

why not just use a router and control panel take one output into switcher ... you can punch through all available inputs ... less expensive and you get the flexibility of a router ?

although i would be interested to see if anyone has any slick ideas on how to combine two ATEM switchers !!

That would be a solution but not so flexible especially on live sports events.
I don't know why the control panel for ATEM 2 is with 20 direct cross buttons and 40 shifted when the ATEM 2 frame is only with 16 inputs?

That is because you also need buttons for color bars, media players, etc.
