Analog to SDI Noise Levels

I am considering a setup where I feed an analog to SDI converter from my XHA1 analog out, and then into a Hyperdeck Shuttle 2. I would like to grab uncompressed/lightly compressed video from my XHA1 to give it some new life.

I tried this with another product and a cheap analog to HDMI converter, and the conversion introduced significant video noise artifacts, negating the benefits of the conversion.

Can any users of the analog to SDI mini converter attest to whether there is any noise introduced in the conversion process?
