Hello All,

does anyone know if the Multiple stream 3G playback has been implemented on the Hyperdeck Shuttle Pro yet? i am looking for playback of multiple streams of HD video for live projection mapping.

This would also be great of multi-chanel iso records.

Cheers

Andrew

That is not currently part of the spec for the Hyperdeck Studio Pro. It's not currently a part of the product but it is something we'd like to consider in the future.

Thanks Joshua,
This is something that would be of huge benefit to me and most live production companies.

Can you explain what is meant by 4 Ch part in the description of the Pro unit?

"Advanced SSD recorder with 4 ch 3 Gb/s SDI, HDMI, analog, Thunderbolt and 4K playback."

Cheers

Andrew

We agree. And I think it is something we'd like to investigate in the future. But for now, it is not part of the spec for that product.

You bet! 4K capture and playback as designed on the Hyperdeck Studio Pro requires 4 SDI connections. All of these connections have 3Gb SDI on them. So it can be used for 3Gb capture as well, but only one stream at a time.

I hope that helps to clarify.

I would say the the reference to "4 Ch 3Gb SDI" in the marketing language is full of ambiguity for most people.
While technically accurate to support a 4K solution it is nonetheless misleading.

Have you guys locked features? If so, perhaps you could publish the manual in advance of shipping so we can prep for what the thing can and can't do. I'm holding off a purchase to see what is in/out -- or I just may move on.

Also -- if you'd support the capture of 4 streams, would you consider writing those 4 streams down the thunderbolt to a direct-computer capture?
