HDLink Pro SD Input

Hi, i saw that in the manual of HDLink Pro at page 10 is an option to upscale de SD SDI signal for DVI HD monitors (Scale video to fill larger display.) My problem is that i want to convert the signal from SD SDI to be displayed on a big Plasma monitor and I wanted to be sure that this will work as an upscaler.
Can you confirm. I found on the internet that may only scale up to 2x (probably the old model not PRO)

It does not have a scaler, but will allow the monitor (if capable) to do the scaling.
