ATEM Micro Panel networking?

PostSun Apr 14, 2024 10:20 pm

Big fan of the NAB 2024 Update! Wow, what a product release!

But we need to have the ATEM Micro Panel work without a connection to a computer and the ATEM Software Control that's running there. We need a network connection!

I made a petition here:

I agree, such a dumb move to not have it connect directly to the ATEM switchers via ethernet.
I'm assuming a USB-C to ethernet will not work as it won't have any ethernet option in the control panel.

No, an adapter like that will not work.

Only guessing that there isn't any of that logic in this design, so no way of sending commands to the ATEM switcher directly. It's communicating with the ATEM Software Control by sending button presses perhaps?

...but the Stream Deck also relies on a computer. Even something like a Raspberry Pi running Pi Companion, translating calls to the ATEM switcher. Any computer, for me (with an IT background), is a weak point.

Maybe for the ATEM Micro Panel PRO version ;)

Its not problem for me .. I have everytime any computer near ATEM .. I need setup everything .. Load mediaplayers .. etc , etc ..
In most situation , ATEM computer is on rack :
