Hey all,
I've started a new job and am looking into recording and streaming options for our auditorium.
Currently, the setup includes a:
- BMD Production Studio 4K
- BMD Video SmartHub 12x12
- BMD ATEM 1 M/E Broadcast Panel
- 4 PTZ 4K Cameras
- 3 Projectors
- 6 Lapel Mics
- & some rack units from Crestron for Presentation and Routing
I'm trying to find a solution for recording and streaming. Currently, we use a product called MediaSite, which we are feeding 1 HDMI for the Program Out, 1 HDMI for the Cameras, and an XLR/RS connection coming from a Focusrite Scarlett for the entire Audio Out.
I was looking for something to record all 3 of those connections and saving the files separately.
I tried plugging into the PS4K via USB to get a video out as I read some older models allowed that, but no luck.
I imagine the ATEM Mini Pro ISO would be a great option, but it doesn't support 4K for the cameras.
Looking at the Hyperdecks and Web Presenters gets a little confusing to me as I'm sort of new to this, it seems I would require 4 Hyperdecks, one for each camera, which just gets too expensive when I currently already have a solution in MediaSite, I just prefer something different. Is there a PCIe capture card out there that would do this? What do you all suggest I look into? Maybe a brief explanation as to why would help me understand.
Thanks!
