ATEM 1 M/E Audio Pass Through

PostFri Oct 26, 2012 3:05 pm

Does the ATEM 1 M/E have audio pass through? If so, does it pass audio through from each source or only PGM audio? Specifically, if I route 4 different sources to the outputs (1 to PGM and 3 each to AUX) do they all get source audio or PGM audio?

Ideally I would like for audio and video from source 1 to be output through AUX 1, audio and video from source 2 to be output through AUX 2, etc. Is this possible?

We usually feed the audio mix from an external audio mixer board into the "Audio Left IN"
and "Audio Right In" XLR inputs. The audio is merged into the program bus. So it is available
to any Aux assigned to Program. You can turn on a camera's audio in Version 3.2 or higher
so it is mixed into program. You can't route audio like CAM1 -> Aux1 CAM2 -> Aux2.

We capture using a Decklink card off Aux1. One thing to keep in mind, video eats time being
delayed by a few frames. We added a delay chain to our audio feeding the ATEM so they
stay in sync.
