Blu Ray into ATEM 1 m/e Switcher

PostFri Nov 02, 2012 5:32 pm

Hello All,

I was hoping someone could help me figure out a blu ray player model that would work with the ATEM 1 m/e switcher using 1080i input? I have purchased several Blu Ray players and at best was able to work with 720p but I don't shoot in 720p. I've been searching the web and even talk to Denon direct about there pro Blu Ray player and they couldn't tell me for sure. Needless to say I've spent a lot of money and wasted a lot of time trying to come up with a solution so if there is anyone out there who can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks BM Family!!! :D
I like to think of myself as the video guy that was awesome until I got lazy, now I look to forums for answers....Hmmm

Doesn't the HDCP limitation come into play here on every blu ray?

Have you tried a Play Station?

I use an Apple TV 1 - and place all my files on this for a playback vtr work around. - We use either the Component RGB when we are faced with the HDCP issue.

HDCP would be a factor for any copy protected content... unless you are using component out.

I run my gear in 720p... so I don't have experience with 1080i Bluray. Sorry!

Use a PC with a Blu-Ray player, and the software AnyDVD-HD. It will bypass the HDCP, especially for content not meant to be protected.
