I have a couple of Ultra Studio 3d devices in my production environment. One of them seems to be dead, after a guy pulled off the thunderbolt cable while I was installing the latest firmware update. (I know... ssshhh... I was upset.)
I tried re-installing all Blackmagic software with no success. Now I discovered, that the device still shows up in OSX's "System Information App" in the Hardware/Thunderbolt tab. it shows the following information.
HARDWARE / THUNDERBOLT / UltraStudio 3D:
Vendor Name: Blackmagic Design
Device Name: UltraStudio 3D
Vendor ID: 0x4
Device ID: 0xA123
Device Revision: 0x1
UID: 0x00040000000115D0
Route String: 1
Firmware Version: 22.3
Port:
Status: Connected
Link Status: 2
Port Micro Firmware Version: 0.1.4
Cable Firmware Version: 0.1.16
So I figured that the computer still discovers the device and maybe there is a chance to re-upload the firmware and give the device some new health...
Any ideas how I could achieve this? Is there a "firmware-file" that can be uploaded to the box manually?
Any help would be appreciated!
