HD Link Pro and HP Dreamcolor

PostFri Jul 18, 2014 8:38 pm

Hi guys,

Having some problems with the my HD Link Pro display port - It just won't send a signal to my HP dreamcolor Z24X (or the monitor won't accept the signal?).

I've read some other posts where people have has the same problem with HDlink and other dreamcolor monitors, does anyone know of a solution? I don't have another displayport monitor I can test with.

Or is my HDlink displayport faulty - it asks me to update the firmware every 3rd time i open the utility program?? The SDI input/output work fine nut not through the displayport.

Thanks,

Hi Marc.

I'm not familiar with any incompatibility with the HP monitors but what I would suggest is to do a search here for dreamcolor and see what you might come up with. Also, I would check their website to see if anyone has reported this problem you're having. Of course you're more than welcome to contact your regions support office which is in the link of my signature.

Hi Marc, I've the same problem, no signal and the deramcolor go sleep. I try with many solutions in forums, many cables Displayport, but no works. I'm desesperated.
My configuration is:

Mackbook pro 15" thunderbolt -- BM Ultrastudio Express SDI -- Hdlink 3d Displayport -- HpDreamcolor X27x.

If any can help us, it was great.

I have the same issue here with my HD Link pro and HP Dreamcolor Z27
I removed the EIDID as suggested in other posts but the screen only displays black using displayport.
I only managed to display properly using a Displayport to HDMI converter, but this is not the aim here.
Still hoping for a solution

I am having the exact same issue. HD Link Pro not holding its firmware, and not outputting signal to my Dreamcolor.

I have tried multiple new SDI cables, multiple new Displaylink cables, verified that the Displaylink port works on my Dreamcolor, removed the EIDID, etc. Nothing I do can get it to display the video.

I also tried using a Displaylink to HDMI cable, and that did not help.

????

MacOS 10.9.5, using the latest HDLinkPro software 3.5.5.

Hi! I've the same Problem. It's crazy. If I connect my Hd link to my Dreamcolor Z24 by a DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable, it doesn't work anyway. If I use a displayPort to DVI cable, it works.

I've using a DisplayPort to DVI cable and it works. Call to HP and they say: "if the monitor runs, It's not our problem". Does anyone tested the HD-Link to another DP monitor?
I've a MacPro Late 2013-minimonitor-Hdlink DP- Dreamcolor config

Same problem for me.

Configuration (using FCP 7.0.3 or FCPX 10.1.4 or DaVinci 11.2.1 Lite)

iMac 3,4 GHz Intel Core i7
HP Dreamcolor LP2480zx
Blackmagic HD Link Pro
Blackmagic UltraStudio 3D

Connections : iMac running FCP or DaVinci ->Thunderbolt -> UltraStudio 3D -> SDI -> HDLink Pro ->DisplayPort ->HP Dreamcolor LP2480zx

Consequences : no access to ColorSpace calibration on the HP Display

It had worked once but now... never again.

Any clues ?

Hi,
I was about to buy the latest dreamcolor Z27x. Of course if it is not possible to access the calibration options it becomes less interesting...
Thanks for the info
