ATEM Television Switcher, SDI no image

PostMon Jul 28, 2014 7:26 pm

Hello
I am unable to get an image via SDI Camera IN 4; the SDI cable from the cameras give an image if I plug them into IN 3 SDI, IN 5 SDI, and IN 6 SDI (via SDI cables). I also can get an image from IN 1 HDMI (via HDMI)...but nothing from IN 4 SDI. Any idea why?

We are hoping to use IN 1 HDMI for a video deck playback, and IN 3, 4, and 5 for our 3 studio cameras, all connecting HDMI to a ATEM Camera Converter, then via fiber to the Studio Converter, out of that into the ATEM Television Studio.

thank you!

The first 2 SDI and last 2 HDMI ports are shared so make sure that you have SDI selected for the 4th connection and see if that resolves the problem.

Hi Tony

Yes; in our Switcher Settings, Cam1 and Cam2 are set to HDMI, Cam3, Cam4, Cam5 and Cam6 are all set to SDI.

We have this problem sometimes with a SDI input. To fix, all cameras need to be connected and powered on, then reboot the TVS. Upon reboot, all cameras show up.

Hello Mike

That seems to have done the trick- unplugging the ATEM Studio, powering up the cameras & Camera Converters, & then powering up the system resulted in our being able to see feed from Camera 4. What a relief!

much obliged!
Peter
