Recording from GoPro with Mini Recorder

I have been struggling to record from my GoPro 3+ black edition via HDMI on an UltraStudio Mini Recorder. I am in the UK so have set the GoPro output to PAL 1080p 25fps and running Media Express on my Mac. Media Express is set to HD 1920x1080p25.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Has anyone managed to get this setup working?

Have you set the desired format on the control software, found under system preferences on a mac. Its at the bottom, ensure that that control panel is set to your desired format as well

Excuse me but how do you set the desired input format?
Do you mean from control panel applet Blackmagic Desktop Video?
In my 10.3.7 version there is nothing to set input-format. Only available option is to change from SDI to HDMI.
