Mini Converter Optical Fiber 4K

PostFri Sep 12, 2014 9:35 am

Hi,

A company has offered me to create a fiber optic circuit from the football stadium to my production site. The circuit has a signal regeneration equipment in level 1. The circuit has a speed of 1 Gb in the 1310nm window.
It will run the Mini Converter Optical Fiber 4K?

Thanks you!

Keep us informed. My understanding that 6.25Gbps SM 1310nm Dual LC 40km run around
$1400 each. 10km $400 each. What distance before regeneration?

check out lynx yellowbrik they have more sfp options available ... hate to comment on another product but bmd has been less than helpful spec'ing the sfp's their converters are compatible with ...

also is this a cwdm system? or simply a 1gb data link?? you may need something that encodes the data stream on both ends not a sdi to optical fiber transmitter.

Hi,

The caracteristics of the fibre circuit is:
-GigabitEthernet link carrier, this GE is delivered in 2nd window (1310nm) and an LX interface (up to 10km)
-The intermediate unit is a fully transparent WDM because we deliver on each end interface NOT colored, as they say in black and white.

Thanks for your help

If it's a Gigabit Ethernet transciever then I doubt it will support the SMPTE fiber protocol used by any of the Blackmagic fiber products. SMPTE is its own layer 2 protocol that is incompatible with your typical 1000Base-SX type link. See if they offer an HDVT (High Definition Video Transport) fiber transceiver, that is compatible with SMPTE Fiber standards that the Mini Converter Optical Fiber 4K uses.
