Opengear Up/Down/Cross captioning

We bought four U/D/C cards last November, and are still waiting for a software fix so that they pass closed captioning consistently between all formats. Most of our plant is 720p, which is where the problem is most obvious... so these cards are gathering dust on the shelf until this problem gets fixed. We are fast approaching a deadline for rebuilding part of our facility, and need to either make these cards work, or give up and buy something else.

Can we please get a definite answer as to whether (or when) this will get resolved?

So the bottom line is, we have several thousand dollars tied up in cards that we can't use. It's not the answer I was hoping for, but at least we know where to go from here.

I see this is a somewhat old post.. but we are in a similar situation... we bought 10 Up/Down/Cross Converter OpenGear cards to use in our flypack, but discovered that they don't pass timecode or embedded audio. Would this beta software fix this problem as well?

Oh, we are gonna buy this week some opengear up/down/cross to use them as converters and, sometimes in some cases, as distributors using the bypass.
I´ve senn that you are trying to solve the Embedded Audio problem, do you have any news about that?
Another questions is if the Embedded Audio pass in the Bypass mode, working as distributor?

Has the 720p to 1080i captioning issue been resolved? We have been waiting several months now for a fix to be issued. We currently have 5 usesless Open Gear cards that we were promised a fix for.

I can't believe this is still a problem almost 9 years later. My UDC cards won't pass closed caption data from 1080i to 720p. What's up Blackmagic Support?!

any update, I am also having problems with converting and passing CC info! this is killing my broadcast workflow...
