Hyperdeck Shuttle2 HDMI TC wan't start/stop rec

PostMon Aug 27, 2012 11:27 pm

We have Sony FS100 and FS700. Both cameras wan't start recording with HDMI input on Hyperdeck S2. You have to manualy press rec button every time. FS700 starts recording on Hyperdeck S2 on HD SDI input without problems, so we can have our footage on SD card and on SSD HDD. This is great time saver for avid systems.

Is it posibble to implement this future in next firmware update (start/stop thru HDMI TC)?
ProRes would be nice too, btw...

PS.
HDMI to SDI mini converter is also not passing TC from HDMI to SDI

Hey there Igor,

We do not currently support HDMI record triggering.
We currently support SDI remote triggering on some cameras and are working on supporting more cameras in the future.

I've not heard of any plans to implement this for HDMI, but I will suggest it to the guys.

As for the HDMI to SDI not passing TC, that is working as intended.

Hi Joshua,
thanks for answering my questions.

Please implement TC over HDMI on Hyperdeck. You are advertising Avid compatibility and this will be your great + for Avid owners of NXCAM FS series. This will saves enormus amount of time to them because of files that are ready to edit from Hyperdeck. Try same with large amount of AVCHD files in Avid and you will see what I am talking about.

BTW, this is also a great way to have small backup files on SDHC.
