Hi,
Our customers are looking to pair Miniconverters Optical Fiber with ATEM Studio Converters on the reception side. That means they are converting SDI signals to Optical Fiber on the fied and , in order to reduce the space on studio side, they want to use ATEM Studio Converters for converting from Optical to SDI. Right now, ATEM Studio Converter is limited to receive SDI with just two emebeded audio channels (channel one and two). This seems to be a firmware limitation I hope. Any additional audio channel is cut off by ATEM Studio Converter.
As is stated on the web page: "Studio converter can also be used as four independent SDI or Fiber to HDMI converters and four independent simultaneous SDI to Optical and Optical to SDI converters!", I'm asuming this limitation will be removed. In live production two audio channels are not enough. And also on the web page is mentioned ATEM Studio Converter is the perfect choice for OBvans and fly-away cases.
