atem tally

PostThu Mar 26, 2015 9:54 pm

Ive noticed that there is no actual documentation as to how to actually hook the tally interface up. I see the pin outs but that is it. What pins would i connect together to connect the atem tally from the switcher to the smartview duo for say cameras 1 & 2 and then a second smartview duo for 3 & 4?

Well the inputs will surround the frame when one of the pins is grounded.
The left monitor pins are Pin 1 Red, 2 Green, and 3 Blue.
The right monitor pins are Pin 7 Red, 8 Green, and 9 Blue.
Grounds are 4,5, and 6.

So for Red tally:

Mon 1
Pin 1 to GPIO 23
Pin 7 to GPIO 22
Pin 4 to GPIO 24

Mon 2
Pin 1 ro GPIO 21
Pin 7 to GPIO 20
Pin 4 to GPIO 25

thanks for the help

scenarios like this should be included in the manual, at least for connecting their own products together.

also the tally module needs an led light to indicate that it is communicating with the switcher for quick troubleshooting purposes.
