Wireless HDMI transmitters

PostMon Dec 24, 2012 11:34 pm

Hello, i want the house to know i was able to transmit full wireless HDMI signals from my cameras to my TVS over 20m using a wireless HDMI transmitters. Simple steps; connect the transmitters to your cameras or laptop, then connect your wireless HDMI reciever to TVS ensure all the cameras and laptop are in the same format then mix. I did it in my church's xmas carol here in lagos, Nigeria where i sent two wireless signals to TVS and did a live transmission. So some of your hdmi cable length issues with TVS can be solved this way.

I used a transmitters just called wireless 5G HD AV KIT. You can get the HDMI stick which can be stuck to you camera like a flash drive then to power themtransmitter, i used a power bank that can give me a 5v dc current via usb so that i am able to move around freely while sending the wireless signals to TVS. It worked realy fine.

If possible can you post a link to a site that sells this HDMI wireless transmitter? I am currently considering the ATEM but am concerned how to get the videos from my camera with HDMI out to the switcher.

Hi,

We use the Paralinx Arrow from Abel Cine. I think it was 1195.00. We also use the Nyrius Aries Pro:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0092T ... 01_s00_i00

These both have a range of about 300ft under clear line of sight conditions.

The one thing they won't do is convert a signal from one format to another. In other words, if your ATEM is set for 1080i then your source had better be 1080i also.

I've talked to them. The demand is too high, available again in 6-8 weeks :(

I found it on eBay:

Can you use more than one unit at a time? Say you want to wirelessly connect 2 or more cameras.

I was finally able to get the Nyrius ARIES Pro and it's working flawlessly. You only need to figure out how to power the transmitter. For that I bought some portable battery power bank.

The Teradek Bolt works much more reliable. More ruggid, it has more antenna's inside, build-in battery and 5 sets can run next to each other in one venue. They have now a HDMI version available too
