Desktop Video Media Express does not Recognize Pro Recorder

PostSat Dec 29, 2012 5:13 am

I have tried to install all versions of Desktop Video Media Express from 9.1 through to 9.6.8.

When I plug in the H264 Pro Recorder, it notifies Driver error and is not recognized by Media Express.

I am using the h264 pro recorder to get a signal into MXLight so I can livestream with the ATEM ME1. MXLight requires Media Express to be installed as it uses the drivers.

My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit.

I need media express to recognize the pro recorder so MXLight will work.

any help appreciated. THanks

... as an alternative thought, is there any thing that will encode a live stream from the ATEM ME without using USB3 or a decklink card or intensity/shuttle card? as I am using a laptop as the encoding machine to get the signal to a CDN.

What streaming resolution will you be using?

What you could do (at least if you did not install software 3.4 on your atem.) to take the composite output and buy a cheap frame grabber. Install FMLE and go that route.

That is my backup if i don't have the TVS at hand.
Also if you are trying to do downconversion on your laptop? not sure if it is capable of it. I had a Quad core computer for my MXlight setup to re-encode the stream. 2 cores almost @ maximum load all the time.
