Power supply for mini-converters and TVS

PostWed Aug 29, 2012 8:22 am

Hello, my setup includes a Television Studio and some mini converters. Every device has his own power supply. So I have lots of theese im my rack. Is it possible, to use a central 12 V power supply for all devices or will there be problems when I try it ?

If no problems: Can I use e.g. a 12V notebook power supply or a professional 12V video power supply whith XLR connectors? (It would be no problem for me, to build simple cables with the right connectors)

Yes it is possible.

You would need to add up the power consumption of all the devices you intend to power from the power supply and then ensure the power supply you use is capable of achieving this.

Good luck
