Media Express doc

You have nice equipment that is making it possible for churches to expensively make good video, but those churches don't have professional staff so the doc, as provided, is not that helpful. I guess I need to find an editing for dummies book somewhere.
Anybody want to suggest some entry level books that will help me better understand editing from the viewpoint of how Media Express works.
