ATEM camera converter talkback mono or stereo

PostFri Feb 08, 2013 6:04 pm

Hello!
Do you know if atem camera converter talkback is mono or stereo?
I would like to use left channel to talk and right channel to send an other signal but I think it's mono.

Best regards

I actually believe it is stereo. On our unit the front panel only works on the left channel. If we use a analog to digital converter to plug in to the back AES input for mic, and pull one or the other channel, it will indeed pull left or right channels from your ear for headsets.

I don't know if the mic is mono or stereo though.

Intercom on camera- and studioconverter is completly stereo.
For Stereo-Mic use the dedicated Mic-ins. T is left, R is right, S is GND.

For high quality 4-wire intercom always use the AES connectors on the rear.

Hey hey! This is great :) Time to dig up my old modem circuits to run serial down one of the channels. CCU!
