I set 1080i and the output of my computer is set to 1920x1080 60 Hz o 50Hz.

Do you have a 59Hz option for the video card? If so.. try that. See the other posts here regarding the issue of HDMI compatibility. Up to version 3.1.1 we all had working systems with HDMI and various laptops/scalers. Since 3.2 many of those devices no longer connect (especially with the 1ME).

Your issue may be different as I think most of us were running our ATEMs in 720p5994 mode.

BMD has confirmed here they made a change - and are planning on adding back support for 60Hz as soon as they can.

Hi, i try 50 Hz but i see black too.

If i set BMA to 720p50 and my resolution set to 1280x720 50 Hz i see video.

Technically speaking, HDMI (which stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a global connectivity standard developed by a consortium of major electronics manufacturers including Hitachi, Panasonic, Philips, Sony, Thomson (RCA), Toshiba, and Silicon Image.

my atem1 just hates hdmi. works sometimes no others all set to 1080@50

my tvs loves the same settings. hence why i have a tvs and atem1

i use the tvs to do all the hdmi work and adds 2 sdi if i need them and then feed it into the atem for all the final work and the dve.

Guys,

Please bear in mind that the computer may well be outputting 1080p- the ATEM's don't like it, that's why it works in 720p- I'm on V3.1 and I have no 1080p option in my menu.......I had to do a shoot recently in 1080i although the director wanted 1080p........
Doesn't matter if it's 1080 @ 50 Hz or 60Hz....it's the progressive scan that's a problem. Stick a HDcam into an ATEM in progressive mode, it shows up black on screen.

As I said in another topic, I have to output my Mac through a Doremi cross converter to turn it into 1080i.....works brilliantly then......

Cheers
Dave ;)

I have the same problem using a Mac Notebook because the HDMI output has a code used to avoid piracy (Steven what was you thinking about?), but using my Vaio or Acer Notebook works fine.

I´m sorry to tell you, can´t use any mac HDMI output port, because uses a anti piracy protocol called HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), I don´t know why they put that, to protect what, the desktop screen?, your powerpoint presentations? who knows....
Then use a Windows PC or convert from VGA to HDMI to use it on your ATEM.

You can use your Mac HDMI output only for TV´s or proyectors, again, sorry.

Sorry for my english too.

My apologies for the multiple post in different threads and also apologies to Telesistemas if this might offend you, but I believe that you might have gotten your facts wrong. In this post, viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1830#p10301, I've explained that the HDMI outputs from Macbook Pro Retina do work.

From what I do understand from some of the tests we've done on our end, Macs don't have any display issues with the ATEMs. The problems usually arises in Windows where 1080i/50 is an illegal resolution. On BMD's end, most of the testing is done with Macs and we also do certain tests with Windows. So if your screen is inputting black on the ATEMs, it is most likely be due to a resolution which the ATEMs are not able to accept. For example, it might be 1080i, but it's not 50 or 5994 as specified, it could be 25 or 30. Same thing if it's 50 or 5994 but it's 1080p. So please do bear with us, we're trying our best to rectify the faulty 5994.
