Photoshop plugin not included in ATEM Software Control 6.9

Hi everyone,

I am a new user of the ATEM TVS. I have setup the device and in general it works as it should.

However I would like to use Photoshop CC 2015.5 (Mac OS 10.11) for the Photoshop plugin. I have installed the ATEM Software version 6.9 for Mac. Unfortunately the Photoshop plugin does not appear in the export menu. I cannot find any information on how to install apart from the whole software package. So I suppose it should be there.

Can you give me a hint on how to fix it or is this a known issue?

Thank you,
Tobias

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for this, but wanted to add that I also noticed this as well. The latest update of Photoshop CC 2015.5 does not play nicely with the ATEM media player exporter. I had to use an older version of Photoshop to get lower thirds exported for a recent show. Would love to know if BMD is aware of this and working on a fix.

I also noticed this. Same setup as the OP. Latest version of MacOS and latest version of Photoshop. The plugin does not show up as it did in previous versions.

It appears that when Adobe updated to CC 2015.5, this created a new folder for plugins, so essentially our plugins during install were looking for CC2015 but now need to be added to CC2015.5. We are aware that Adobe has changed this and are looking into it. You can still copy and paste to the PS CC 2015.5 folder to make it work.

This is a new setup so I don't have the previous version installed. Can a .zip file of the plugins be posted here and what is the full path they need to be installed to?

Hi everyone,

thank you for your helpful replies. The plugin is installed you just have to move it to make it work (at least on Mac OS). Here's how it works:

Here you will find plugin called SwitchersExport.plugin:
/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/Switchers

Copy the file SwitchersExport.plugin to:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC

Open Photoshop and the plugin appears in the export menu.

Hope that helps …

Cheers!
Tobias

This needs to be updated for 2019. Apple has hidden all these folders, and it is not clear at all if the plug in still exists, where it is installed, and where it should be installed. Part of my confusion is searching for SwitchersExport locates copies installed long ago that were subsequently archived to external volumes. These appear dated and no longer operative with the latest versions of Photoshop CC

I have ATEM 7.5.2 installed. I have Photoshop CC 2019 installed. I am running macOS Mojave 10.14.5. I looked everywhere on my iMac for the plugin and it cannot be found. I am able to look in \Library\Application Support\ and there are no Blackmagic folders there. I do see the \Library\Application Support\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\ folder.

Blackmagic support has been responsive and told me what to do and where to look, but I still don't find anything. Can anyone walk me through how to get the ATEM plugin for Photoshop working again?

After some digging, I did it for the newest version of Photoshop! The folder was different than what has been posted. Get the plugin from:
Library/Application Support/Adobe/Blackmagic Design/Switchers/CS5/
The Plug-in is called "SwitchersExport.plugin." Copy it and paste it to:
Applications/Adobe Photoshop CC 2019>/Plug-ins/
Open photoshop and it should be there as File>Export>ATEM Switcher Media Pool...
