How to stream multiple audio

PostSun Aug 21, 2016 6:13 pm

Hi,
I use Teradek Cube and Teradek Slice for streaming and I need to stream video along with 4 audio tracks (different ones, each one would be a different language) - channel 1 & 2 - native language, 3 & 4 in english. How to do it using Teradek devices?

P.S. I embed audio and video through Blackmagic Audio to SDI Converter.

Sebastian

You can't. The cube only has 2 channels of audio encoded.

Let me expand my answer. We are using that exact system, and we were also hoping to be able to send more channels of embedded audio. It's on the SDI signal, but the cube only takes channel 1 and 2.

Interesting question. Are existing multilanguage streams known ? Which player let you select the audio tracks ?

I stream sports and maybe it would be interesting, so send 2 or 3 stereo pairs (native language, english and atmo)

Has someone a working (and cheep) solution ?
