1080i and 1080p simultaneously on ATEM Television Studio

PostTue Feb 26, 2013 5:14 pm

I am thinking to buy new live-edition system. I have two cameras (sony hdv 1000e) and HDR-PJ30V. Unfortunately hdv 1000e gives 1920x1080i @50fps and the second camera gives 1920 x 1080p / 60 fps. Is it possible to use it simultaneously on ATEM Television Studio?

And second queston: I have to use Mini Converter HDMI to SDi converter. Is it really gonna work with atem television studio? My broadcast place is about 120m away to the hall. Does the signal really go so faraway?

Sorry my really bad english, im not native speaking english.

1. No, you can't mixed framerates (or resolution). Also, none of the ATEMs support 1080p, only 1080i/720p/PAL/NTSC.

2. 120m is really pushing it, though you may be able to find some expensive cable that will handle that distance. Or you'll need an amp, something like this:

Thank you for the reply. I have one more question. Does the ATEM Television Studio have color correction?

No it hasn't.

You would need a Terranex to do this.
