can you record the program output of ATEM TVS?

can you record the program output from the HDMI or HD SDI & get better quality out of the ATEM TVS? If So is there any reason not to do it? It says its a 10 bit signal out of the program output so surely you'll get fantastic quality out of it, just by plugging in a Black Magic Hyperdeck shuttle.

Yes. Of course. You can record the program out using any video capture device that supports either HD-SDI or HDMI. There is no reason not to do that (if you have compatible capture equipment or don't mind spending a few extra $$$ to get something). The files captured will be much larger than the H.264 output from the TVS... but as long as that is not a problem... then all is good.
