Multiple Layers of Choma Keys

PostThu Jan 19, 2017 10:39 pm

Hi there,

So I want to do multiple layers of chroma keys.

Essentially the current set up would involve a laptop running PowerPoint (with a colored background) going into a switcher as cam 1. At the same time, a person in front of a green screen would be on as cam 2.

I want to composite it in layers with the PowerPoint;s background keyed out, in front of the person, who is then keyed out in front of another input as their background.

Or to put it another way, I want to run multiple upstream keys simultaneously into the program output.

Can I do this with an ATEM 1/ME or do I need to step it up to an ATEM 2/ME?

Hello Mark. Yes the ATEM 1M/E and 2M/E have 4 upstream keyers each may be chroma key. So you have up to 4 chroma keys at one time.
