Dropping Markers in Hyperdeck Studio Mini

PostTue Mar 14, 2017 2:01 am

Is is possible to drop markers in a file while recording or playing video in the Hyperdeck Studio Mini?
It would be very handy to mark a possible dropout or cue point when recording or during playback.
Perhaps pressing Record Button when Recording or Playing would capture the Time Code and create a cue mark in the Metadata of that file. Then when playing back you could select the Jog button then the Next and Previous buttons to jump to the next marker etc.... Put that on the Wish list. Along with possible H.264 Recording on one of the 2 SD cards while recording in ProRez or DNXHD on the other Card. Very useful for creating Web Streaming versions or easy to distribute Dailies.

Not stored in the recorded file but External Deck control devices can do this.
e.g.

It can also be done with Windows PowerShell (or most other scripting/programming languages, demo coming). I have done this for live use, marking Home Goal/Away Goal/Foul events with keyboard shortcuts (or Midi/x-keys hardware) and then allowing recall from a list of markers that popup based on another shortcut.
