Using BMD Arduino shield with BMD studio camera

PostTue Apr 25, 2017 6:08 am

I would like to use a BMD Arduino shield with BMD studio camera so I can control the lens.
I can do it over coax but can't seem to do it with fibre direct into the camera because I don't know how to access the return feed.

Any tricks?

OK I understand. So there is NO output available on the camera for 'return SDI output'.
So how do you feed a floor monitor from the camera? You have to run a separate cable?
That's a bit silly seeing as the signal is already there at the camera head.

So if I get a Blackmagic Design Mini Converter Optical Fiber, I don't need the Studio Camera's fiber interface so can I buy the converter without the fiber interface and use the one from the camera? Isnt it as simple as slipping it out of the camera and slipping it into the converter?
