ATEM Television Studio HD HDMI inputs

I just purchased ATEM Television Studio HD and Web Presenter. I have two cameras Sony Z1e without HDMI/SDI out, only component out. Also I purchased two KanexPro Component-to-HDMI converters kanexpro.com/item/?id=RGBRLHD. But when I connect Sony Z1e (component) -> KanexPro (hdmi) -> Studio HD... = no signal. Changing different modes or PAL-NTSC modes = no signal. Then I try another camera JVC with Component out = no signal. Then I try Canon with hdmi out = no signal.

But the strangest thing: if I connect Sony Z1e (component) -> KanexPro (hdmi) -> Web Presenter (hdmi loop out) -> Studio HD = working great!

Question: what hdmi signals the ATEM Television Studio HD can take? Really I must buy Web Presenter (or another BlackMagic converters) on each of 4 Studio HD HDMI inputs?
What's the difference between WebPresenter HDMI input and ATEM Studio HD HDMI input?

All but not 1080i60 / 1080p60 or any 60 frame rate, only broadcast NTSC 59.94, all others should work, but not sure about the lower SD 480i59.94, which is not listed. See BM site ATEM specification page for details.

Those cheap chinese converters are worthless..

If you buy component to sdi / hdmi buy at tleast one 1 with scaling inside.. this will ensure that you are able to adapt to the mixer..

Sure you could buy 2 Decimator MD-HX behind it to scale to the right resolution.. But a converter like this would work instantly.

The ebay one is the old model.. It has no hdmi output.. But work just as effective..

I do convert Canon XH-a1 cameras with it to 1080P50 3G sdi for my mixer. Nice de-interlaced HD signal from a rather cheap camera.. from the early HD era..
