Re: MXPTiny: Free H.264 Recorder, Previewer & Streamer

Hello,

I'm trying to use the H.264 Pro Recorder for streaming using the COM DeckLink API in C# but I have problems receiving the video packets. As guidelines I’ve used your MXPTiny code from github.

What works:
Every callback from the IBMDStreamingDeviceNotificationCallback interface - I can receive and handle these events correctly

The problem is:
1.After calling streamingDeviceInput.StartCapture(), I only receive some NAL and Audio packets through the IBMDStreamingH264InputCallback interface for a very short time - only a few seconds - then my program stops receiving any packet (the device status is still 'encoding')
2.The MPEG2TSPacketArrived event is never fired

Is it possible to implement this kind of functionality in C#?
I would appreciate any kind of help.

On request I can send you simplified project.

Thanks in advance

I am using MXPTiny and it shows a preview of the H.264 stream when VLC is installed on the system but I am unable to stream the same to YouTube Live.

Please let me know how to configure the Ingestion Settings (RTMP stream) in VLC (version 2.1.3).

Thank you!

Deti,

I hope you are still monitoring this thread...

I had version 0.9 running & recording properly, and then tried to change the recording location to a folder on a USB (SSD) hard disk, and I have been unable to record since. I'm running Win7 w/SP1. There is no response when I click the FOLDER or RECORD buttons, although I can adjust the preset and preview with VLC.

I have no programming tool anymore, but I looked thru the github source files, and after looking at MPTiny.nsi and tracking things down, I noticed 2 odd things after uninstalling and reinstalling:
1) there is no registry entry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE "SOFTWARE\BayCom\MXPTiny"
and
2) InstallDir "$PROGRAMFILES\BayCom\MXPTiny" did not install the directory.

Nice application. How do I get this running again?

I'd suggest you just buy MXlight, any support for MXPTiny seems to be MIA

sharynf, Thanks. Anybody know the last version of Media Express that will preserve A/V sync when recording H.264 from an ATEM-TS?

Hi Deti,

Thanks for your MXPTiny, it is very good tool.

I am wondering if it is possible to provide command line interface. Just because I hope to run it at windows start up before user login, I think running with command line like FMLE is the only way.

hello

i am very happy about MXP Tiny. Media Express did not work solid on my computer. but MXP Tiny does.
is there any chance, to use HDMI in for video, but the analog jack inputs for audio at the same time?

kind regards

Just incase anyone is looking at this thread, I have compiled an updated version of MXPTiny against the latest API with someone else's fork that has a few more features.

I have used it to record 14 hours continuously while playing back using VLC and ffmpeg.
